You don't need to track everything — just the dates that cost real money if you miss them:
Free trials. The single biggest source of accidental charges. Note the end date the day you start one.
Insurance renewals. Car, home, phone, pet. Loyalty is usually punished, not rewarded — diarise a week before to shop around.
Warranties. Appliances, electronics, the boiler. Knowing the expiry means you can claim before it lapses.
Annual subscriptions. The yearly ones you forget about precisely because they only bill once a year.
